Queen Elizabeth II will take part in the conference of the parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change. This was announced by the organizers of the event on socials.
“We are pleased to announce that Her Majesty The Queen will be attending” – the statement said.
The conference was originally planned to be held last year, but this had to be postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. This year’s Conference will be held in Glasgow from 31 October to 12 November.
The press service of the Commonwealth of Nations noted that the member countries of the Commonwealth, led by the Queen, have been in favor of combating climate change since 1989 within the framework of the Langkawi Declaration.
